Massage Therapy

My massage therapy sessions are an eclectic mix of modalities, based in swedish , that I have learned over the course of my career. I attended the New York Institute of Massage Therapy in Buffalo NY in 2001 and after passing a state board received licensure in 2002. Since then, I have trained in numerous medical massage techniques, energy work, and even traveled to Maui to learn Hawaiian lomi lomi massage. My sessions are therapeutic , relaxing and guided by my intuition. Arizona license #MT-09238

Cupping is an ancient technique, used in many cultures, in which a special cup is applied to the skin and held in place by suction. The suction draws superficial tissue into the cup, which may either be left in place or moved along the body. Cupping brings fresh blood to the area and helps improve circulation. Traditional cupping, sometimes referred to as “fire cupping," uses heat to create a vacuum-like suction inside of glass cups. In modern times, cups that use a small pump to create suction have also been introduced. Benefits of cupping include: ~promotes micro-circulation to encourage cell repair ~moves qi and blood stagnation ~releases muscle tension and stiffness ~relieves pain by increasing endorphins
